Nel Shelby Productions is deeply dedicated to the preservation and promotion of dance. We offer high-quality documentation of live performances, filmed with the best equipment, by a team of trained dancers who just get it. We produce virtual events and livestreams to help expand your audience on digital platforms. And we make fully edited dance marketing videos and full-length documentaries and dance films, flexing our creative muscles to expose more people to art we love.

Hire our expert dance videographers for high-quality, single and multi-camera shoots of live performances, classes, community programs, rehearsals & more. Physically-distanced for now, until we’re all back in the theater! We can also film-from-home or create something using your existing footage — editing emotionally-charged and exciting promotional videos, choreo reels, fundraising videos & films!
Tell us about your project.
I founded my dance video production company when I realized that all of my college dance footage was fuzzy, far away and completely unusable.
There was clearly a need for better quality dance video, and since I had broadcast experience in addition to dance training — it felt like the perfect combination of my passion and skills.
Now, Nel Shelby Productions has grown from a one-woman show to a team of creative videographers, editors, marketing minds, client relations and project managers. All women (and occasionally, a few good men).
We value joy and kindness as much as we do high-quality video and cutting-edge equipment.
“I was so impressed and inspired working with Nel and her team. They were professional, open, and engaging. In short, they brought my vision to life. Stars of American Ballet can now be seen as game-changer. We are forever grateful!”
— Daniel Ulbricht, Artistic Director, Stars of American Ballet
