From-The-Wings | Ballet Hispánico at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival
Go behind-the-scenes with Ballet Hispánico at Jacob’s Pillow!
We have filmed and created dance videos with Ballet Hispánico for years now, and every time we work with them, it’s a huge love fest!! So, we were excited to work with the company at Jacob’s Pillow this summer. All of the dancers in the company are fierce performers.
Their program featured Línea Recta, a Pillow-commissioned work by amazing ballet choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. They also performed Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro’s Danzón – we love this work! – and Gustavo Ramírez Sansano’s El Beso.
Brittany Pace edited this video for Nel Shelby Productions, and she shared her excitement with the team:
“I had so much fun working with Ballet Hispánico. And this was my first time really creating an artistic video from scratch, on my own for NSP. The dancers saw me right away with the camera and asked me if I was with Nel – then brought me back into the dressing rooms with open arms. They were so welcoming and willing to help me out and move around so I could get good footage of them. Also, they are just beautiful people in general and it was very easy to catch them doing gorgeous things. I was beyond excited and so happy how it came out!”
We hope you enjoy this dance video of Ballet Hispánico from the wings! We are really passionate about bringing you the best of what’s onstage and what goes on behind the scenes to get there!
