This is the third year we have live-streamed the Table of Silence on 9/11 at Lincoln Center with Buglisi Dance Theatre. I had just moved to New York City three days before 9/11 occurred…so the minute the company asked me to stream this tribute of peace, I said “YES!” To bring peace to what was a horrific day means a lot, and I feel more than privileged to film this dance and get this message out around the world with a live stream of the performance.
The Table of Silence Project 9/11 is a free, public tribute and ritual for peace featuring 100+ dancers on the Josie Robertson Plaza, Lincoln Center, New York City, on Wednesday, September 11, 8:15-8:46 am EDT, and live streamed around the world. This moving meditation is realized through the powerful commitment of dedicated, passionate dancers from the multi-cultural NYC community.
“Today, as these courageous artists express their passion for peace, striking the earth with their heels… moving in meditative rhythms of the heartbeat… we behold a sacred landscape.”- Jacqulyn Buglisi
