A few months ago, I created a promotional video for Dance/USA’s Learning Exchange in San Francisco. The Learning Exchange, “Engaging Dance Audiences,” was created to increase the dance field’s capacity to attract, maintain and involve audience members. Dance/USA provided funding to organizations to kickstart new practices and compile necessary research and presented everyone’s findings in an interactive conference in San Francisco.
I also created multiple videos and a specific channel for the organization. We filmed with four cameras at Gina Gibney Dance Studios and our purpose was to capture each of the breakout sessions so potential candidates for the next round of grants could watch these videos and see what worked for past organizations chosen to receive Dance/USA’s funding.
