I love the theater!
I grew up as a musical theater kid, singing at the top of my lungs to every last album I could get my hands on.
So when Nikki Feirt Atkins asked me in 2011 to film rehearsals of Donna McKechnie teaching “Music and the Mirror” from A Chorus Line, along with dances from many of the musicals I grew up loving, I was in heaven.
That was the beginning of a long relationship with American Dance Machine for the 21st Century (ADM21), founded by Nikki. Over the years, my team and I have photographed and filmed countless rehearsals and performances. It has been one of those creative throughlines in my life that keeps growing.
Getting to be part of ADM21’s GOTTA DANCE! now feels really special.
Seeing this show come to life Off-Broadway at Stage 42 is surreal. The dancers, the lighting, the set, the projections… it is all so beautifully done. Christopher and I photographed and filmed the show during previews, and then my team created this trailer to help promote the show.
