Jacob’s Pillow Dance Season Video 2018
Summer is here! It’s the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival Season Video!
Every year, the marketing department at Jacob’s Pillow helps my team at Nel Shelby Productions assemble dance video footage from all the companies performing in the upcoming summer festival.
We create marketing and promotional videos from that footage, including short clips to use as social media videos and ads for each company individually. We also edit that footage together to create a longer season video to promote the whole festival and share what’s coming up for patrons already visiting the Pillow.
The Pillow season overview video is used everywhere – on YouTube, on Facebook, Instagram, in online ads, on the Jacob’s Pillow website, on the Pillow campus playing on loop in places like the Welcome Center… When all the interns arrive, we watch it together to get excited for the summer!
As many of you know, the Pillow is my home for the summer. My husband Christopher makes beautiful dance portraits (follow his new Instagram to see what he creates this summer). And photographs Festival performances and Festival life. Our kids love our summer home – a cabin with a huge backyard and a trampoline.
There is something special about the Pillow, and I’m so happy to have spent years as their Video Producer, documenting performances and marketing them, too.
You can see the full summer line-up on jacobspillow.org. Come visit!! You can view anything we film in the archives. It is a treasure trove.
