Livestream Technician

Responsibilities include:

  • Support remote and day-of events scheduled to be live-streamed or recorded
  • Test, troubleshoot, and communicate with organizers of the event
  • Prompt, thorough, and professional communication with the team, client, and business partners
  • Make executive decisions on audio and video production levels in a variety of situations
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise and have an eye for proper video and audio quality 
  • Communicate through the proper channels while on-site and prior to the event

     

Qualifications:

  • Experience with live streaming and live-streaming workflows
  • Ability to adapt to new workflows, and create backup workflows when necessary
  • Knowledgeable with streaming to Youtube, Facebook, Vimeo, and/or other live-streaming platforms
  • Working knowledge of live-streaming hardware and software (Teradek, MiniStudio Recorder, VMix, etc. OBS/Wirecast/Livestream Studio)
  • Knowledge of best streaming settings, setting up manual streams (RTMP or HLS workflows), and troubleshooting sync, video quality, and network issues
  • Strong understanding of camera and other recording systems
  • Strong understanding of digital audio systems
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure and while troubleshooting issues
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team and with diverse personalities
