Many of you know that I work with New York Live Arts (NYLA) on a regular basis, filming shows during their exciting performance season. Recently, my awesome video team and I filmed and live streamed NYLA’s first Resident Commissioned Artist Yasuko Yokoshi’s dance work Bell, and now we’re getting ready to live stream a terrific line-up of performances, films, discussions and more, during NYLA’s first annual Live Ideas event.
NYLA describes Live Ideas as “distinctive in its explorations of the interplay of creative expression and the world of ideas.” This year’s theme – The Worlds of Oliver Sacks – is represented by more than 20 events, curated by writer Lawrence Weschler in collaboration with Executive Artistic Director and renowned choreographer Bill T. Jones.
I’m so happy to be part of this project, and I encourage all of you to tune in to one or all of the following live streams, which are bound to be insightful and inspiring!
