NY Quadrille at the Joyce Theater | Performance Video

The Joyce Theater Transformed
We just filmed NY Quadrille at The Joyce Theater. Based on a quadrille, an 18th century dance performed in a rectangular configuration and viewed from four sides, The Joyce constructed a special platform stage designed for viewing from four sides. Lar Lubovitch selected four different choreographers to create dance works to be seen on all four sides.
Now, we’re busy editing and packaging the footage for three of the choreographers – Loni Landon, RoseAnne Spradlin and Pam Tanowitz. Take a look at RoseAnne Spradlin’s work, “X.”
RoseAnne Spradlin’s recent show during NY Quadrille, curated by Lar Lubovitch, at The Joyce Theater.
It was a fun change of pace to film in the reconfigured space at The Joyce during these shows — and it was energizing and wonderful to kick off a NYC dance season filming such different choreographic voices.
My team and I feel blessed whenever we get to capture an artist’s vision. Be on the lookout for upcoming peeks into Loni and Pam’s work, too!!
