We’ve been hard at work creating promo material for one of our favorite arts presenters to work with, New York Live Arts!!
Live Ideas is an annual humanities festival of arts and ideas with a different theme each year. This year’s theme is Mx’d Messages. We love making short and sweet video promos that capture the wide range of events, the brilliant collaborators, and the festival’s amazing curation!
Our videographer and editor Ashli Bickford spent time interviewing curators Justin Vivian Bond and Elizabeth Koke about their process and vision for the series. Then, she added beautiful production photos from collaborators to give a sense of the range and depth in this year’s festival.
We can’t wait to see this series in March!!
Nel Shelby is Owner & Filmmaker for Nel Shelby Productions, her New York City-based company dedicated to dance videography and editing. Nel shares her mission to preserve and promote the art of dance with her husband, Christopher Duggan, a dance and wedding photographer. They collaborate on projects with dance companies of worldwide renown, up-and-coming choreographers, dance educators, dance schools and more. Nel is Video Producer at Jacob’s Pillow and Vail Dance Festival and is also the proud Director and Producer of PS DANCE! — a New York Emmy-nominated documentary about dance education in NYC’s public schools.
