Exactly one year ago, I began working on PS DANCE! To The Rescue, a new documentary for New York City’s Department of Education (DOE).
Once the pandemic hit, I knew I had to convey the incredible pivot that dance teachers AND students had to make when everything shifted to virtual learning.
I began speaking with Ana Nery Fragoso, the former Director of Dance at the Department of Education in New York City, about creating a new documentary that reflects this incredible resilience and passion.

The documentary has now come to life thanks to Caroline Haidet on my team for directing and editing it so beautifully.
It has been so inspiring to see dance continue to grow throughout the pandemic, and I’m so excited to share it with you.
Special thanks to Jody and John Arnhold and The Arnhold Foundation for funding this project. The Arnhold’s dedication to dance education makes my heart so full.
To Ana Nery Fragroso, Sandi Stratten-Gonzalez, and Amber Lodman at New York City’s Department of Education: THANK YOU!! It has been such a joy to share these stories with the world. You are all amazing.
Please join us for the premiere of PS DANCE! To The Rescue tonight at 7pm ET on Zoom.
