Sonya Tayeh: Live Feed Artist | New York Live Arts Promo Video

We can’t get enough of these behind-the-scenes, dance film projects!!

One of the most exciting things about working on dance film in New York City is that there is such a wide variety of performing arts presenters and nonprofits we can collaborate with on their full seasons. Thinking ahead and planning out a year in advance is awesome. Doing this in addition to the one-by-one performance documentation for individual artists is a dream.

We have a great working relationship with New York Live Arts that runs the gamut of what NSP can do – from filming shows to editing two-camera mixes to live-streaming to behind-the-scenes, promotional video.

Sonya Tayeh, of So You Think You Can Dance fame, is a Live Feed artist at NYLA and presents new work in their theater starting December 9. Our videographer and editor Ashli Bickford and production assistant Brittany Pace spent time with her in the studio, recording an interview about her time at NYLA and the work she’s been creating there.

It was clear Sonya was so grateful for the warm, welcoming space and time to bond and create with her dancers. Our hearts were warmed creating this video with her and NYLA. I hope you’ll enjoy watching it as much as we loved making it!!
