Molissa Fenley’s celebrated solo work State of Darkness is streaming live from The Joyce Theater this fall starting tonight!!!

Fenley’s State of Darkness was originally commissioned by the American Dance Festival in 1988. The intense 35-minute solo performance has been reworked to broadcast live from The Joyce Theater each weekend from today until November 1, and the performers are out of this world.

We’ve been working with The Joyce’s team to make this virtual experience unforgettable. Grab tickets (starting at $12 per household), and you’ll receive full access to the live-streamed performances until November 7, 2020!!

Fenley restaged her solo on seven acclaimed New York dancers: 2020 Juilliard grad Jared BrownLloyd Knight of Martha Graham Dance Company; Sara Mearns of the New York City Ballet; Shamel Pitts, former Batsheva Dance Company member; Annique Roberts of Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE; Cassandra Trenary of American Ballet Theatre; and Michael Trusnovec of Paul Taylor American Dance Company. View the full livestream schedule >
