Last summer was my first time filming at Vail International Dance Festival under Artistic Director Damian Woetzel. I love the dance festival life−I spend most of my summer with my family filming Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, nestled in my cabin in the Berkshires−and it was such a wonderful experience working in gorgeous Vail. Not to mention filming the brilliant dancers who perform at the festival.

Last year was the debut of New York City Ballet MOVES, a travelling troupe within the extraordinarily talented NYCB company. This year, NYCB MOVES returns in three programs, along with Martha Graham Dance Company, dancers we’ll recognize from our favorite tv dance series, and more. I created a 30-second television spot for Vail International Dance Festival to promote the performances and alert surrounding communities to the upcoming season. It was challenging to cram so much information into such a short video, but I think we did a great job. It makes me more excited to return to the festival this year!
