Dance Photography

Dance photography is an essential piece of your marketing toolkit.

And since Nel’s husband, Christopher Duggan, is a well-respected dance photographer, we have always offered photography services in addition to video production and filming.

Like all of our services, Christopher’s approach to performance documentation and creative portraiture is collaborative in nature. A natural-born marketer, he’ll ask what you hope to achieve with your photos, where they’ll be used, and what you’d like to emphasize in your shoot together.

It’s important to us at NSP that your photos and videos support your performance promotion, content marketing, pitches to presenters, fundraising goals and more.

Christopher can work in any performance environment. He has been the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival photographer since 2006, and has photographed dance companies including Alvin Ailey, Ballet Academy East, Joffrey Ballet & Vail Dance Festival.

I started working with NSP a long, long time ago as ‘the wide cam guy’ on a two-camera shoot. Over time, Nel has offered photography as part of her NSP offerings, so I’ve done a lot of photography for her clients. That includes photographing live performance, in-rehearsal creative processes, and creative portrait shoots.

My video skills have increased from ‘that wide cam guy’ to shooting on my DSLR cameras and setting up Nel‘s interviews, to now using the gimbal on a moving shot. And I am now one of Nel‘s licensed drone operators!”
